Farf the Guest-Blogger

I’ll be guest-blogging tomorrow at Eat4Today — Katiebird is under the weather and asked me to post the regular “Just 4 Today” feature and whatever else comes to mind tomorrow.

If you haven’t been to Eat4Today, and are interested in weight control and personal health, it’s well worth making the daily stop. Katiebird’s philosophy is that weight control is more of a daily commitment than a matter of “just” diet and exercise. As she puts it: “Before, I was looking for a program that I could follow for the rest of my life, now I’ve got a program that only has to work for today. Just today.” That also means if you blow it, you’ve only blown it for today. You can make a fresh, stress-free start tomorrow.

So drop by tomorrow and say hello. If you like what you see, leave a comment — better yet, bookmark it and keep coming back!

  1. Morning FAR.

So you're guest blogging at E4T. Congrats.

I read the Far Future episode and it does seem like you're predicting what is really going to happen. Good episode.

Glad The Boys party didn't turn into a free for all and the heater is looking great!

  2. Hey FM, good to see you back around. I'd pinged KB on Twitter yesterday & said I'd thought about posting the J4T since she hadn't done it. So she did it then asked me to handle it today. I hope she gets better quickly so it's (ahem) "J4T." I don't mind doing it, I just want her to get better is all!

Not so much predicting as laying out one possible way things could go… but that's what you do when writing speculative fiction. You just have to remember, no matter how plausible, it's still fiction. :-)

Thanks for stopping by & the kind words about the heater. I just called the place & they won't install it if I didn't buy it there, so we may be on our own.

Wow! It's like you re-invented Guest-Blogging, things will never be the same.

    xxoo

  4. FAR I think with the way you're really handy around the house, you should have no problem with the installation. Of course with someone like me, it could turn into a "Maybe by next winter type project." :)

I'm with you on the hoping KB gets to feeling better. I hate for someone I know to be sick or in pain. Thank goodness that she is taking it easy and resting.

  6. Hey all!

KB, rest up & get better! Cuddle up with that nice warm laptop or something. ;-)

FM, as I understand it I ought to be able to just shove the silly thing into the fireplace (after pulling the glass doors off the fireplace) and attach the trim panel. There may be some other issues I'm not aware of, but we can always pull the pin & see what happens!

Conda, I made this post yesterday — I posted the J4T this morning! :-)

  7. Hey Far! Good luck over at E4T! I want to second FM's suggestion! You can easily do this project! The hard part will be getting it in there.... Make sure you have about a 250 pound former lineman from the NFL, to help ya. ha! Once you get it in there have 2X4's and crowbars at hand to adjust into place. I'm not sure what kind of material they suggest to seal the gap between the stove and fireplace, but I'm sure they'll have this, maybe the trim is all you'll need?

    Thanks, yooper

Comments are welcome, and they don't have to be complimentary. I delete spam on sight, but that's pretty much it for moderation. Long off-topic rants or unconstructive flamage are also candidates for deletion but I haven’t seen any of that so far.

I have comment moderation on for posts over a week old, but that’s so I’ll see them.

Include your Twitter handle if you want a shout-out.
