Vacation pix: Driftwood

After shooting a bird sitting on one of the “swim area” posts, Dad suggested I get the driftwood in the foreground for scale. Then I got interested in the driftwood itself.

  1. VERY cool pic, Farf. Love the way it seems to be morphing into some pre-historic lizard creature, its knobbly head rising slowly, struggling to loosen the wood constricting it.

    I do love driftwood. ::g::

  2. Thanks, Maria! That was like the biggest piece of driftwood I've ever seen on Lake Michigan… probably too big to easily carry off. I have several other shots of it, including where some kids used it as a clothes rack. :-) It was sitting right in front of me.

  3. It really does look like an animal. To me it seems like a horned toad.

  4. Now that y'all mention it, it *does* look like a lizard, doesn't it?

  6. Thanks FM! There's some more posted already, just scroll down & look for "Vacation" titles. I've got a couple more I want to put up in the next week or so, too.

Comments are welcome, and they don't have to be complimentary. I delete spam on sight, but that's pretty much it for moderation. Long off-topic rants or unconstructive flamage are also candidates for deletion but I haven’t seen any of that so far.

I have comment moderation on for posts over a week old, but that’s so I’ll see them.
