I was going to say it has been years since I've been on vacation, but then again, I've been retired for years so I've been on a sort of an extended vacation. :)

When I was a little bit older than Mason my Grandparents took me on a beach vacation. Over the years I've looked back and thought how lucky I was to have Grandparents who were willing to take the time out for me. I hope that as Mason gets older he'll do the same also.

Take care

WhitFMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14471558413705720149noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12954391.post-60309800548682788882013-07-24T17:01:09.975-04:002013-07-24T17:01:09.975-04:00Love that "good bye to vacation" shot.
...Love that "good bye to vacation" shot.

I'm very fond of Miatas. They're a great California car. Not that I have need of one now, seeing as how I've left the Bay Area. Ah well.

I've been fortunate enough with cars in my life (well, apart from that time when I ran into a cop on a motorcycle - or he ran into me...but, best not go into that right now) but it's houses, or condos (homes, I suppose you'd say) that come to me when I need them to. The universe is very forgiving of my idiocies. Fortunately.

Glad you had, what looks to be, a great vacation.KjMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17691028465137798738noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12954391.post-35424672420270499472013-07-21T22:50:42.819-04:002013-07-21T22:50:42.819-04:00Thanks, Katherine! I asked Daughter Dearest about the swimsuit; she said "I got it at Mal*Wart." Here's hoping TO is too sophisticated to have one of those around…

No prob, Patricia. It *is* cute. But, let me point out, it's a straight shift. :-)

Thanks, Helen!Larry Kollarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08317037795075278427noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12954391.post-13522135959569551012013-07-21T21:58:07.360-04:002013-07-21T21:58:07.360-04:00Lovely photos and happy memories to have. The one of Mason chasing the seagull towards the ocean looks like it should be made into album art or something -- a book cover?

I just spent 20 minutes looking for a cherry-patterned swimsuit like your daughter's -- that is totally my style and I'm horribly picky about swimsuits. I found one that's close :-)Katherine Hajerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08270232675026751342noreply@blogger.com
