Glad to hear you're enjoying the blog… I hope you hang around and toss a comment in from time to time.

Right now, it's still a crap shoot whether stations around here will have anything to sell. One place last night had only premium; another only regular, and three others were shuttered entirely. Still no big deal; there's always a place nearby with *something*.Larry Kollarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08317037795075278427noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12954391.post-80112028180163036312008-09-18T16:33:00.000-04:002008-09-18T16:33:00.000-04:00Found your blog a few days ago and am enjoying it ...Found your blog a few days ago and am enjoying it very much. Gas here-Greer, SC- is as low as 3.78. Oldest daughter works in Greenville and reported seeing $5 a gallon. That was Monday. She's been off the last two days. Next daughter lives in Knoxville, TN. She reported lots of shortages and high prices. They don't drive much, so it wasn't a big issue.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12954391.post-87899127715557438392008-09-18T12:10:00.000-04:002008-09-18T12:10:00.000-04:00Hi Kristi, welcome to the free-range insane asylum...Hi Kristi, welcome to the free-range insane asylum! Hope to see you around more. I think the FIL will be OK; they're running a stress test on him today to see what's what. I figure he'll be home next week.

Yooper, I don't think I've ever seen him play cards. I'll have to ask Mrs. Fetched about that. Better solitaire than Fox Spew.

My dad once told me, "I don't want you kids fighting over it — I'm gonna spend it all, and leave just enough to plant me." Works for me.

Boran, thanks for the well-wishes. Like I said, I figure he'll be home next week.Larry Kollarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08317037795075278427noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12954391.post-63178602812373600162008-09-17T21:20:00.000-04:002008-09-17T21:20:00.000-04:00I paid $4.02 tonight here in NY for premium.Best w...I paid $4.02 tonight here in NY for premium.

Best wishes to your FIL, Far.boran2https://www.blogger.com/profile/10483728578007756485noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12954391.post-70042326411779623192008-09-17T21:06:00.000-04:002008-09-17T21:06:00.000-04:00Ooops! I hope he get's better and see's the farm paid off...

Umm, my Dad's also the type of guy who comes to work with a coffee cup that shows a dead guy in a casket, with a big smile on his face. "Die in Debt!" ha! I haven't been able to come up with anything interesting to comment on.

Apparently, the Colonial Pipeline is how they get fuel from there to here, and that was shutdown for at least a day because they couldn't put any "product" in Down There. I saw a news article from TN that both confirmed & corrected my suspicion of what's going on: the "brand" gas stations have delivery contracts that keep their supply & prices stable, and the indies have to fight over the scraps.

I agree with the Billo thing… one scared old man keeping a lot of other old men frightened. I just have to keep reminding myself that God will deal with him in His own time.Larry Kollarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08317037795075278427noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12954391.post-76278350779256085362008-09-17T01:56:00.000-04:002008-09-17T01:56:00.000-04:00Hey FAR, Apologies for not stopping by more freque...Hey FAR,
Apologies for not stopping by more frequently lately! Between being sick for a week and crazy busy at work, I've been slacking on blog touring. Sorry.

That sounds pretty serious regarding the gas situation ... we've seen nothing like that here (yet), but you're in the 'South' and we all know how that is. I'm so glad we have the Vibe now, as it is a good gas miser, though our prices are only about $3.65 or so right now, but if we still had that truck guzzler, we'd really be hurting. $40 every 2 weeks or so we can handle, even at these prices.

Good luck on the father in law situation! In some ways I can relate (there are weeks I'd just like to go to sleep and not wake up), but seriously, Billo every night? That's probably what's making him sick!Iowa Victory Gardenerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07220818462081082930noreply@blogger.com
