That's just a silly way of saying I would be (very pleasantly) surprised if Obama pulls off an upset. I'd have to stop referring to this as Planet Georgia.

As for the senate race, Chamblisssss wounded himself, perhaps mortally, with his vote on the FAILout. I'm guessing he figured he could still do his loyal Bush-bot act and get away with it, but he angered a lot of the eight-inch belt buckle set with that vote & it could cost him. I expect that it will go to a run-off; the question is which way the Buckley voters will go (Libertarians here usually go with the goplets in a run-off, but they might be willing to hope for a "better" goplet in 2014).

Good luck with the observer thing. On Planet Georgia, they've banned cameras & cellphones from the polling areas. I'm not sure if that's a way to keep people like me from taking a picture of my ballot, like I did the first election we had the Diebold garbage foisted on us.

He (or someone like him) would likely be back in 2014, but six years is a long time & the winds could be a changin' by then.Larry Kollarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08317037795075278427noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12954391.post-14531388408449535052008-10-25T02:43:00.000-04:002008-10-25T02:43:00.000-04:00Hey FAR,I've been seeing some very interesting pol...Hey FAR,
I've been seeing some very interesting polling on the Chamshit race and it looks to be a tight one, perhaps even going into a Dec runoff?

What's your sense of the field right now? With Obama (amazingly) within striking distance too, it looks to be a wild night on 11/04 down your way. I'll be fascinated to hear what you have to say...

We early voted today and there were quite a few people there, but the lines moved quickly (that's IA efficiency for ya) so we did the deed with pride. Actually it took more time finding parking and plugging the meter than it did to actually vote. I'm considering doing a bit of poll watching at our precinct on the 4th ... we'll see. But our polling place is just a couple of blocks away so I could go over with my camera and see how it goes....Iowa Victory Gardenerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07220818462081082930noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12954391.post-54342776354383440812008-10-23T23:12:00.000-04:002008-10-23T23:12:00.000-04:00I could have sworn I responded…Yooper, as I rememb...I could have sworn I responded…

Yooper, as I remember it they torched the Kuwait fields as they retreated; they needed Red Adair and his crew to put some of them out. But I don't see why fights wouldn't take place near the objective… the invaders would come to seize the prize, the defenders would be there to stop them. It's not like everyone's going to get together and agree on a "neutral venue" like the Florida-Georgia game, after all. ;-)

Yeah, Boran, part of their Senate firewall is right here on Planet Georgia! You know they're desperate if they have to defend a seat here…Larry Kollarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08317037795075278427noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12954391.post-53130544433589962462008-10-22T21:55:00.000-04:002008-10-22T21:55:00.000-04:00Wingnut desperation code orange!Wingnut desperation code orange!boran2https://www.blogger.com/profile/10483728578007756485noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12954391.post-74048681512653134222008-10-22T20:22:00.000-04:002008-10-22T20:22:00.000-04:00Hey Far!"And I approve this message".... If that's...Hey Far!

"And I approve this message".... If that's all they've got to say, then we are DOOMED. You bet, they're playing the American people for suckers...I'm not playing this game with them and will refuse to vote..why bother? why waste my time?

Oh, about that thought of war happening in oil rich regions... Remember my firend, when Desert Storm ended? It ended when the Republican Guard set fire to the wells...At that moment, Saddam Hussein drew a "stalemate" and claimed victory. We immeaditaly ceased fire and started putting those fires out.....The rest is history...

This opened the doors for American inspectors/personnel to enter the country on an interm basis...After Iraqis Freedom, we now are in the position of "occupying" that country.

The present adminstration has ALWAYS said, we are over there to stablize the region.....and that's EXACTLY what we're doing, we're containing it from the inside and not only from the outside... (there's no getting "us" out of there now!)

When (not if), Iran falls under American control, then it's checkmate, the game is over, as we'll have overwhelming control of the region from not only the outside (containment) but from inside, as well...That is, we'll put those fires out before they can even start them, (or at least that's the thought).

As far as Saudi Arbria goes, these people sold their souls to the devil, long ago... We "own" them outright.... They sold their "freedom" for protection, decades ago...

Aren't you glad you're an American, Far?!!! The "puppets" they put on display in this Presidential election, are indeed, just that...................

(Gee, I haven't wrote so much about "American politics" since I left Hanson's...But that's it (as I precieve it)in a nutshell, and nothing (again, NOTHING) else much matters...............yooperhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11297259993402713368noreply@blogger.com
