Of course, of course... that's one thing about actual sales; they're a lot harder to fake. Wonder if anyone has started outsourced "borrowing farms" yet...

I have to say, as a *reader* (since I still need to get a finished book out), KU didn't appeal very much. I live in a city with an excellent library system, so when I want to borrow, I already have a great selection to choose from. And when I want to buy, it's easy to buy books too. Actually, the municipal library recently partnered (don't know all the details) with someone on the publishing/distribution side, so if you want a new book that doesn't have any borrowing copies available, you can click through and buy it.Katherine Hajerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08270232675026751342noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12954391.post-87140314792880946792014-12-11T17:24:54.389-05:002014-12-11T17:24:54.389-05:00I haven't heard many people say KU is working ...I haven't heard many people say KU is working out for them. With my books, I've seen a drop in sales that coincide with KU launching. Which worries me greatly. Especially when I see hardcore readers saying they subscribed to KU and don't look at any books outside of KU. I put one book in KDP so it'd be in KU to see what would happen. Not much but I haven't done a bunch of promotion to spread the word yet.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12954391.post-38154350092738533912014-12-10T15:30:47.124-05:002014-12-10T15:30:47.124-05:00Hmmm it all sounds complicated to me, but then I&#...Hmmm it all sounds complicated to me, but then I've never had any real success on Amazon.
