Happy Thanksgiving!

I’m making the challah bread:

I use this recipe, except that I put the oven on 325°F instead of 375. I nearly found that out the hard way.

We’ll be going down to Mrs. Fetched’s parents in a while — FAR Manor isn’t quite ready for entertaining large numbers of guests, since we’re still obtaining area rugs and footsies for the living room furniture.

What are your plans?

  1. Hello FARfetched

The bread looks good and I read the previous post and you did an excellent job on your floor. You are sort of a Renascence Man, from baking bread to sanding floors. :)

Hope you and all the fetches have a wonderful Thanksgiving

  3. Thanks, guys. As usual, I didn't end up bringing any bread home with me. :-)

I think I'll need to run to the store to get more flour before I make the next batch. And maybe some sorghum syrup too (I use it instead of sugar).

FM, we like the floor. We like it so much we're covering it up with area rugs so it won't get scratched! :-D Were you able to pull up the "runaway sander" video?

  4. I tried the runaway sander video but couldn't get it to work.

  5. Oh bummer. Olivia was able to get it. Try installing Quicktime if you don't have it already... but you should be able to view it without it since it's an AVI file.

  6. FM ... if you have IE (shudder, I know) use that. Sometimes I have to run videos w/ IE b/c they won't open in FF. :D

Comments are welcome, and they don't have to be complimentary. I delete spam on sight, but that's pretty much it for moderation. Long off-topic rants or unconstructive flamage are also candidates for deletion but I haven’t seen any of that so far.

I have comment moderation on for posts over a week old, but that’s so I’ll see them.
