Welcome back to Weekend Cinema, where you can sample both old and new, long and short (but mostly short) animations!
I didn’t even have to think about tonight’s selection — as soon as I saw it, I marked it for this weekend. So sit back, grab a handful of popcorn, and cheer on the hapless bunny who’s caught on Theme Planet…

Comments are welcome, and they don't have to be complimentary. I delete spam on sight, but that's pretty much it for moderation. Long off-topic rants or unconstructive flamage are also candidates for deletion but I haven’t seen any of that so far.
I have comment moderation on for posts over a week old, but that’s so I’ll see them.

ReplyDeleteUntil Nancy's place is open again. I'm opening her cafe on my blog on weekends. This is only temporary, until she finishes her book and we can come home. But if you want to stop over, the coffee's on. :)
Woo hoo! I'm on my way!
ReplyDeleteOur weekend cinema was a bit different and off on the farfetched track I suspect.
ReplyDeleteTCM had 2 of Ray Dennis Steckler's earlier (ahem) 'masterpieces' on in the wee hours Friday (their Cult Cinema is worth checking the schedule for...) so I recorded them.
First up was The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living and Became Crazy Mixed-up Zombies (1963). Yep that's a mouthful. Grand schlock to be sure, but almost always entertaining while you're driving your truck through the incoherent plotholes.
The other one (which we haven't watched yet) is yet another reputed 'classic' ... Rat Pfink A Boo Boo (1965) ... apparently superhero spoof that predates the original Batman ... sounds promising too.
So there are my unsolicited movie tips du jour. File away, if you see fit. :-)
