Abandoned Farmhouse

This long-abandoned homestead caught my eye a couple of weeks ago on a sunny weekend afternoon.

  1. Hi FARfetched

We have places around here like that. I wonder everytime I see one, what life went on inside of it. Who and what kind of people made it a home instead of a house.

  2. Yep, I agree w/ FM. There is a really run down farmhouse where I grew up that was rumoured to be haunted, and all the highschool kids would egg each other on to spend time out there. It was definitely spooky at night.

  3. Hi guys!

It's local, so I'm pretty sure I could find out who lived there... probably some of the Crane family, since it was on Crane Rd.

  4. I love old farmhouse and the history that goes with them. We live in a old farmhouse that we don't even know when it was built. Just that the first record deed was back in 1850's and it had 157 acres with it at the time. Oh it is haunted too...lol

Comments are welcome, and they don't have to be complimentary. I delete spam on sight, but that's pretty much it for moderation. Long off-topic rants or unconstructive flamage are also candidates for deletion but I haven’t seen any of that so far.

I have comment moderation on for posts over a week old, but that’s so I’ll see them.
