The Return

I’m back… we arrived about 12:55 this morning, got maybe 7 hours of sleep before going wide awake.

Vacation posts are below, backdated to the appropriate day.

Feel free to use this as an open thread. Comment on your own vacation plans, my photos, stories, whatever.

  1. Thanks, Boran.

This is the part where I'm supposed to say, "It's good to be back," but this is Planet Georgia we're talking about.

Oh wait a minute. If it's the blogosphere, it *is* good to be back!

  2. (he's back! He's BACK!)

Hi FARf!! It's great to see you again.

Since it's so late though, I'm going to catch up on your vacation posts in the morning.

Do you have to go back to work right away?

  3. Hiya FAR.

Who needs Harry Potter when I've got your vacation posts.

It's good to have you back. I was starting to get a little FAR Manor withdrawal. :)

  4. Hey KB & FM! I'm glad my return is bringing joy to some corners of the 'sphere.

Yup, KB, I'm at work now (Tuesday morning). One day at the manor, after a week away, was quite enough. :-)

FM, I'm not sure I compare to Harry Potter; but as long as I have enthusiastic readers like you, I'll keep writing....

  7. Hi everyone!

Nancy, good to see you too! You want to hear something funny? I went by my favorite indie bookstore, and they have all your books except the latest… so that's the one I ordered. I didn't realize you have five or six books written already, I thought two or three!

42, it's good to see you in the comments (or anywhere else!). I gotta get on the chat some night, once I catch up. Like that will happen. :-P

Boran, yep, we had a good time; everything got worked out, and at its worst it was still more relaxing than FAR Manor. :-D

  8. I love bookstore stories like that, far. :) I hope you like the new one. It's my fav. Before you get any of those others, though, you may want to ask me about them. I actually have l7 published novels, and the two older ones now in print are my least favorite ones!! I shouldn't say that about my own "children," but a mom's got to be honest. :)

  9. I like your well-composed lilly pad photo.

  10. Hey folks!

I guess this is the open vacation thread now, huh? :-) Gotta love organic open threads.

Nancy: *17* novels published??? (salaams) I'll have to go back & list the ones at the store. I checked inside a couple of them and the "other titles by" listed about 5 or 6, so they're obviously earlier books. I should be getting my copy of Virgin some time early next week.

Thanks Boran, for the kinds words on the photo. I really do wish I could have gotten closer though without shredding a bunch of stalks.

Olivia, I'm not sure I want to be back, but then again I do. Back to the usual goop though.

  11. Hey FAR, I know I'm late to the party as usual, but missed your musings while you were gone! Glad to see you back and I've got lots of catching up to do ... so see you in the comments elsewhere!

Comments are welcome, and they don't have to be complimentary. I delete spam on sight, but that's pretty much it for moderation. Long off-topic rants or unconstructive flamage are also candidates for deletion but I haven’t seen any of that so far.

I have comment moderation on for posts over a week old, but that’s so I’ll see them.

Include your Twitter handle if you want a shout-out.
